Public Works

The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance, and repair of public facilities owned by the Township. This includes​ Township Streets, government buildings and grounds, parks, storm water systems, culverts, Carp Barriers, and equipment maintenance.

Street Maintenance

Street maintenance activities on the Townships 56 miles of roads includes pothole patching, crack sealing, chip sealing, roadside mowing, and tree trimming in the right-of-way. The department also oversees 16 miles of graded gravel roads, sweeping selected Township streets annually, and maintains street signs throughout the Township.

Park Maintenance

Park maintenance activities on the Townships 11 parks and numerous other public grounds include grass mowing, turf and landscaping maintenance, trash removal, playground installation and maintenance, trail maintenance, cemetery maintenance and burials, and athletic field maintenance.

Snow & Ice Control

The Public Works Department is responsible for the snow removal on all of the Township’s 56 miles of streets, 49 cul-de-sacs, and public parking lots with the goal of providing safe and efficient travel throughout the Township.
