Linwood Fire Department

Founded as a volunteer fire department in 1951; the Linwood Township Fire Department is now a paid-on-call fire department with approximately 27 firefighters. The fire department covers all emergency incidents within Linwood Township. 

Linwood Fire Association

The Linwood Fire Association is a 501(c)(3) organization that works to support the firefighters who serve our Linwood Township and the community as a whole. Membership is not exclusive and is open to anyone who wants to help. The views, opinions, actions of this page are that of the Linwood Fire Association and are in no way affiliated with Linwood Township or the Linwood Township Fire Department. Burning Permit Update

Burning permits are regulated by the MN Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and are issued by Fire Wardens within the township. The Linwood Twp. Fire Department does not issue permits. For information on the status as to whether a permit is required please visit the DNR website or contact a local Fire Warden listed on this page.

Fire Wardens can issue a temporary 3-day burning permit.
