Parks & Recreation

Our Park and Recreation (PARC) area is provided for individuals wishing information on Linwood's various parks. The Linwood Park and Recreation Committee has provided township residents with several parks from which to choose. All Linwood parks are located within a six-mile radius of the town hall and are open to the public. None have service fees.

Unauthorized motorized vehicles are not allowed in any of our parks; this includes 4-wheelers, side-by-sides, dirt bikes or any other vehicle. 

Some parks in the township are controlled by Anoka County and may have posted restrictions and/or fees. See Anoka County Parks and Trails for County information.

Also Go Anoka County is an online resource filled with information that identifies opportunities to engage in physical activity such as; biking or walking for transportation, exercising for pleasure, playing in the park, and/or using public recreation opportunities and facilities.

The goal is to:

• Increase awareness of public parks and recreational facilities
• Promote access and make it convenient for people to find places to be physically active
• Encourage walking and biking

The Anoka County Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP) is a part of Minnesota's SHIP, an integral part of Minnesota's nation-leading 2008 health reform law, which strives to help Anoka County residents lead longer, healthier lives by preventing the chronic disease risk factors of tobacco use and exposure, poor nutrition and physical inactivity. Go Anoka County was made possible through SHIP funding from the Minnesota Department of Health for additional park information.
